The processor is configured to transfer a portion of the texture map corresponding to a first of the plurality of tiles from the system memory to the graphics accelerator. which stores the portion of the texture map corresponding to the first of the plurality of tiles into the texture memory cache. The processor is further configured to tessellate a portion of the geometric primitive corresponding to the first of the plurality of tiles into a plurality of sub-polygons, and transfer information corresponding to each of these plurality of sub-polygons to the graphics accelerator.
