CONSTITUTION: Video memory devices 11A and 11B storing video data from a subscriber's private equipment 5A or 5B and instantaneous communication controllers 12A and 12B are installed on a video communication device 1A at the outgoing side and a video communication device 1B at the incoming side. For implementing the reservation communications or instantaneous communications, a transfer video channel is set through video exchanges 2A and 2B at the outgoing and incoming sides and an inter-station video circuit 9 only when an idle equipment is preset between the devices 11A and 11B. Through the use of said channel, the video signal in the device 11A is transferred and accumulated in the device 11B when the idle time of the communication equipment in the reservation communications, or the using ratio of the communication equipment in the instantaneous communications is below the prescribed value. Thus the using eficiency of the communication equipment can be improved, and besides a communication cost can be reduced.
