CONSTITUTION: This communication system is adopted to a network using the Q.931 protocol 101 for ISDN communication. A local protocol 104 in which the Q.931 protocol is corrected is used for communication between a control unit 103 and a station terminal 106. This local protocol is composed of a 1st segment composed of necessary information component of the Q.931 protocol, and a 2nd segment in which an arbitrary information component of the Q.931 protocol used in the control of user interface is converted into a local code set. Speech control between a system and a network is performed using the standard Q.931 protocol by a telephone number, and speech control between a control unit and each station terminal is performed using the local protocol by a bearer channel.
