Said sound is converted again into the sound signal in the handset 12a, and is transmitted to a telephone line 11 through the existing telephone set 12, then the picture data is transmitted to the facsimile equipment of the partner. Accordingly, while the handset of the existing telephone set is left being set on the acoustic coupler, a voice communication with the partner side can be carried on, and the operational ability is elevated.
