CONSTITUTION: An object recognition equipment is made up of an object 1, an ultrasonic transmitter 2, an A/D converter 3, an ultrasonic receiver 4 comprising a receiver array of n×n and an amplification/noise removing filter and a computer 5 and the object 1 is irradiated with a burst wave from the transmitter 2. Then, a sound pressure of an ultrasonic wave measured with the receiver 4 is brought into the computer 5 through the converter 3 and a waveform thereof is cut in a time phase to obtain information pertaining to the depth of the object 1 while XY direction information is determined by an ordinary acoustic hologram method. Thereafter, a neural network is made to learn the information to obtain an outline of the object of (n)×(n) or (n)×(n)×(m).
