CONSTITUTION: The cable sheath 2 and the external conducting layer 3 of the cable to be reinforced for insulation are stepwise stripped to expose the insulating coat 4, and then a bridgeable conductive paint is coated over the circumference of the insulating coat 4 and the external conducting layer 3 and then heated at a cable surface temperature of 140°C for one minute to cause the cross-linking of paint itself and also between the paint, the insulating coat 4, and the external conducting layer 3, effecting a chemical combination between them. The conductive thin layer 5 so obtained, having a chemical combination to the insulating coat, is not rumpled even if the conductive bell mouth portion 8 undergoes expansion and shrinkage, thus assuring stable electrical characteristics for long time.
