CONSTITUTION: Crude neem oil is extracted from neem seeds with a non-polar and hydrophobic solvent, the solvent is removed from this neem oil extract. This neem oil is cooled until neem wax precipitates to form the first fraction. Then, the first fraction is separated from the remaining liquid fraction or from the clear neem oil whereby two kinds of neem oil fraction that is substantially free from azadirachtin and shows microbicidal and insecticidal activity. The extraction fractions are used a novel pest-controlling agent. This composition repels pest organisms from the plant surface and always eradicates a variety of insects, bacteria and pest organisms An-free ext. from neem seeds [with nonpolar hydrophobia solvent (e.g. hexane)] is subjected to solvent removal, to give a semisolid wax fraction and a transparent oil fraction.
