CONSTITUTION: A tackifying resin is blended with a mixture consisting of a crosslinkable monomer, an acrylate or a methacrylate and optionally a monomer copolymerizable therewith. The blend is polymerized while continuously adding the blend to a polymn. medium contg. water, an emulsifier and a polymn. catalyst, to obtain the desired primer. Alternatively, not more than 30wt% blend obtd. by dissolving or dispersing the tackifying resin in the monomer mixture, or emulsion obtd. by dispersing said blend in water contg. an emulsifier is previously added to the polymn. medium, prepolymerization is carried out and then polymerization is carried out while continuously adding the remainder, whereby a primer in a homogeneously dispersed state can be obtd.
