CONSTITUTION: A gate 5 is provided in an opening 4 drilled through an iron shell 2 at the lower part of the wall of a hot air furnace 1, and explosives 13 are charged from the bottom of the furnace in necessary places other than the vent hole 10 of bricks 9 laid in staggering joint in the lower part and allowed to explode in such a way as to break nearly all bricks 9 and 12. The broken bricks are partly discharged from the gate 5 but mostly deposited up to an upper level 14. Then, a scafolding 15 is placed on the upper level 14 as needed, and a worker goes into the furnace 1 from an upper manhole 11 to charge explosives from the scafold plate 15 to the upper side wall 3 and explode them. Then, the gate 5 is opened, the upper level 14 is settled down to the next exploding work level, the gate 5 is closed, and exploding work is performed. The same operations are repeate to complete the dismounting and removing work of the bricks of the side wall 3 and the partition wall 16 inside the furnace.
