CONSTITUTION: A microcomputer 9 of an interface unit IFU 4 controls a terminal equipment 2 in response to a command from a controller 1. A photocoupler 12 converts a form (contact output form) of a control signal outputted from the microcomputer 9 into a form (HA corresponding form) suitable for the terminal equipment 2. A photocoupler 13 converts a monitor signal of HA corresponding form into a contact output form and outputs it to the microcomputer via an input means 11. The interface unit is provided with an input terminal 16 relating to the connection of a terminal equipment 15 of contact connection form in addition to an HA (home automation) terminal 6 relating to the connection with the terminal equipment 2. The input terminal 16 is connected to an input means 11 in parallel with the photocoupler 13 and a monitor signal from the terminal equipment 15 is connected directly to the input means 11 not through the photocoupler 13.
