The used amt. of the agent for preventing the lowering of slump is suitably 0.02W0.03% polymer above-mentioned, having 0.5W2.5μm particle diameter to the concrete, for maintaining the slump at kneading (18cm) of concrete kneaded at 20°C, e.g. in the case of concrete added at kneading with a water reducing agent having high quality. When the agent for preventing is added at kneading to raw concrete, it prevents the lowering of slump with elapsed time, increases the efficiency of working at the construction field and, besides, contributes to prevent the occurrence of defect in the hardened concrete.
