CONSTITUTION: A sound absorbing means 2 having a number of recessed parts is placed onto the back side of a ceiling member 1 formed from plaster boards, rock wool, fiber plates, etc. A ceiling is formed by fixing the ceiling plates 1 onto a joist 8 suspended through a suspending member 7 onto the undersurface of the floor 6 of an upper story. Therefore, the noise generated on the upper floor can be absorbed by the back of ceiling by the sound absorbing means 2, and also the sound generated inside the ceiling back can be absorbed on the back of ceiling.
