CONSTITUTION:A dye having general name C.I. Acid Yellow 79 (AY79) or C.I. Acid Yellow 127 (AY127) in a color index is used as a colorant for a photographic image layer. Since the dye can be used in combination with C.I. Acid Red 249, Acid Red 274, Acid Green 28, Acid Orange 95, Acid Reactive Blue 21, etc., various colors can be developed. AY79 or AY127 is applied as an aq. soln. having desired concn. by brush coating, dipping or other method. Though the image layer may be dyed before development for forming a silver image, it is preferably dyed after the development or etching bleach so as to reduce the effect of such photographic processing.
