This memorisation is carried out smoothly according to an essentially amusing, comfortable and recreational method. This invention also relates to means for learning foreign languages. According to this method, the student performs simultaneously and on a uniform time basis a series of acts that involve the visual and auditory perception of any abstract information in the form of images or abstract and logical information that he whishes to memorise. This method involves preferably using a common and low-calorie food product which is meant to be absorbed by extended mastication and/or suction or in a beverage. The means for memorising abstract information in the form of images can for example be used as a means for efficiently and autonomously learning foreign languages, for maintaining a previously acquired linguistic knowledge and for developing and training the memory. This means may consist of a wrapping (1) surrounding a food item, preferably a chewing gum that may include ingredients improving the memory operation.
