CONSTITUTION: The switching elements 1 and 2 conduct each other, and the voltage of its middle point becomes such a waveform as switching between the output voltage E of the unstabilized power supply 13 and the ground. This waveform becomes a waveform clamped at the position which has been lowered by the voltage drop portion in the forward direction by a diode 6 after passing through a cpacitor 3, an insulating transformer 4 and a capacitor 5. Since the average value of this waveform is varied depending upon the pulse width, an output voltage which has beeen smoothed by the pulse width can be changed. Accordingly, the output voltage is compared with the reference voltage, and in case the output voltage is higher, a pulse of narrow width is generated by the modulation circuit 10, is input into the drive circuit 12 through the insulating transformer 11, and conduction of the elements 1 and 2 is controlled by this output in order to reduce the pulse width. On the other hand, in case the output voltage has been dropped, the pulse width is increased.
