A facsimile transmits picture signal data as an audio subchannel signal through the contorol part 9 by a sound multiplexing modulator 10 and a mixer 12 and receives it by a separator 13 and a sound multiplexing demodulator 11. It may be inserted as code in the vertical fly-back blanking period of the television signal.
