2 O gas and SO
4
2- . The treated waste water is let flow into a pH-adjusting vessel 4, where the waste water is neutralized at pH about 6W8. Thereafter, the waste water is oxidized by sulfur bacteria in an aerobic disposal vessel 11 containing a sulfur compound, e.g. SCN- or the like, as a nutritious source. the waste water is further introduced into an anaerobic denitrifying vessel 2 containing denitrifying bacteria, where the waste water is agitated and fluidized to reduce most of NO
2
- to N
2 gas.
