CONSTITUTION: A drainboard-like plastic plate 1 is attached to the upper part and about 1/3 of the depth below the top of a cubic plastic container to divide the container into the upper and lower two stages. The lower stage is used as a culture solution (water culture solution) vessel 2 and a small-sized submerged pump 3 is used to feed the culture solution to a plant cultivation bed in the upper stage. A nonwoven fabric 4 having high water holding properties is then laid on the drainboard-like plastic plate 1 dividing the container into the upper and lower stages. Vinyl chloride pipes 5 having holes formed at several places are laid on the nonwoven fabric 4 and a culture solution is fed from the culture solution vessel 2 in the lower stage thereto with the pump. The feed of the culture solution to the bed is intermittently regulated by using the aforementioned small-sized submerged pump 3 according to the growth conditions of plants.
