Overflown water is sent to a reserve adsorption tank 12 encasing a filter medium 13 for adsorbing residual suspended matters. The hole diameter, the number of stages, etc. of the filter medium are selected so that hydraulic pressure in the tank 12 reach 0.35 kg/cm
2 when the efficiency of filtration lowers due to the fouling of a sand filter tank 14, and a pressure transmitter Px informs the backwash time of the tank 14. Disposed water is injected to a lower portion of the upper current sand filter tank 14. The inwall is shaped in a surface, such as, a coarse surface, which has a large number of unevenness with approx. 2W3 mm difference, thus allowing the prevention of the flowing of a large quantity of disposed water along a smooth side-wall.
