PROCESS: A [2-(cyclopropyl)ethyoxy]aniline derivative of formula II is reacted with an N,N-dimethylcarbamyl chloride or N-methoxy-N-methylcarbamyl chloride in an organic solvent, e.g. benzene, in the presence of a deacidifying agent, e.g. pyridine, to give the compound of formula I. The reaction temperature is 0W150°C. The starting raw material compound of formula II is obtained by reducing a compound of formula III with platinum dioxide, etc.
