CONSTITUTION: A facsimile signal by the reception of satellite broadcast is stored in duffer memories 5, 6 in the unit of packets. A transfer processing section 10 transfers the signal from buffer memories 5, 6 to a decoding section 11, in which the signal is decoded and stored in a picture element information buffer memory 12 in the unit of lines. The timing of the transfer from the buffer memories 5, 6 to a decoding section 11 is controlled by a timing control section 13 based on the number of packets requiring decoding processing. Moreover, the timing of output of a recording start instruction from a control section 9 to a recording processing section 15 is controlled by a recording start timing control section 14 based on the number of line stored in the picture element information buffer memory 12. A recording processing section 15 sets application time of a print current to a thermal head for each line in response to the line number.
