PURPOSE: A business intelligent service system, method, and server used in the same are provided to enable a client to select a desired service according to the state of the client through a network. CONSTITUTION: A first server(100) manages and stores data in a first database(130). A second server(200) manages and stores the data in a second database. The second server creates a BI(Business Intelligent) application by using the first and the second database for the BI service request of the first server. The second server provides the requested BI service through the BI application.

A business intelligence (BI) document preserves references to identities and formats of remote data sources and allows a local computing device to offload analytical operations to remote data sources. The BI document specifies a graph of entities connected by directed edges from the output of one entity to an input of another entity. An entity, for example, can represent without limitation a data structure, an external data source, a control element, an external event source, a visualization, or an update service. The entities of a BI document at a local computing device can reference data at an original data source—rather than extracting data from the original data source to a preferred local datastore. An entity of the BI document can direct a remote data source to execute transformations on the remote data before returning a solution to the local computing device.

Aspects of the disclosure relate to systems and methods for electronically displaying an indication of customer spending associated with a pre-determined business location. The method includes using a receiver to receive an electronic request. The request authorizes retrieval of customer spend information associated with the location. The customer spend information may be based on customer credit, debit and/or check transactions. The customer spend information includes a plurality of customer spend data points. The method further includes using the receiver to receive an electronic selection of a limitation of the distance from the pre-determined business location. The limitation may limit the retrieval of customer spend information to a radius corresponding to the limitation.

Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure relate to systems and methods for providing information about a sector and geographic focus of a company and enables user to identify the top product/brands of a company. Trademark records can be leveraged and combined with other sources of data, which can be presented to a user in an integrated graphical user interface, to facilitate combinatorial business intelligence for one or more companies. Analytical data associated with trademark records corresponding to the company included in the search can be generated to provide a ranked list of trademarked names/brands for the company and a combined or integrated view can be generated in a graphical user interface that includes the ranked list of the trademarked names/brands for the company and also includes the recent news or other information related to the trademark names/brands.

The present invention relates to business intelligence systems. An enterprise's business intelligence may be embodied in business intelligence artefacts such as reports, queries, analytical documents, spreadsheets, etc. Over time, many of these documents are produced. The same artefacts may be produced by different departments in an enterprise. This is an inefficient use of resources. Further, when a user is producing an artefact, they add their own knowledge to the artefact (in the form of table names, column names, etc, that they have selected themselves using their business knowledge). This knowledge is not accessible. The present invention provides a system and method which enables this knowledge to be accessed, by analysing the artefacts which are produced by an enterprise and producing metadata which can be queried to access the knowledge locked up in the artefacts.
173 ADAPTIVE CUSTOMIZED PRESENTATION OF BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE INFORMATION PCT/CA2012/050910 2012-12-19 WO2013097039A1 2013-07-04 CHMIEL, Matthew S.; HILTZ-LAFORGE, Jason; POURSHAHID, Alireza; WATTS, Graham A.

In one example, a method includes receiving information on a user role of a user account associated with a business intelligence system. The method further includes gathering information on interactions of the user account with the business intelligence system. The method further includes generating an initial business intelligence output based on data from one or more data sources. The method further includes generating a customized business intelligence output for the user account based on the initial business intelligence output, the user role, and the interactions of the user account with the business intelligence system. The method further includes providing the customized business intelligence output to the user account.

The invention provides idealized and reusable data source interfaces. The process of idealizing includes reengineering of the original data model using a surrogate key based model. The technique emphasizes readability and performance of the resulting operational data store. The invention provides a unique method for handling changes that allows all types of changes to be automatically implemented in the operational data store by table conversion. Further the invention provides Inline materialization that supports a continuous data flow dependency chain. The continuous dependency chain is used to provide automated documentation as well as dynamic paralleled transformation process. Finally master data integration is provided as a benefit of architecture and the inbuilt surrogate key based data model. The feature implements integrations by specification rather than by programming.
