| 摘要 | PURPOSE: To facilitate the production of a sheet, etc., having desired uniform optical quality by using a film of a water absorptive polymer and mechanically stretching this film, after introduction of polarizable crystals. CONSTITUTION: The web-like polarizable material 1 consists of transparent plastic layers 2, 3 of an upper layer and lower layer and a water absorptive polymer material layer 4 laminated between these layers. The intermediate layer 4 contains the polarizable crystals adsorbed in this layer. These crystals are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the material 1 by mechanical stretching. The outer layers 2 and 3 are bonded to each other by the watertight seal confining the layer 4 along the ends 5 at the major axis edge of the material 1. In such a case, the web 6 is introduced from a roll 7 into a tank 9. The web 6 adsorbs water and the polarizable crystal accompanied with the same during the passage. The web 6 is thereafter subjected to mechanical stretching in the region between two pairs of cylinders, by which the crystals are oriented in the stretching direction and are slightly thinned. | ||||||
