The invention is related to an exercise bike for pedaling in the supine position, in which the pedals are placed in vertical, in the upper position and perpendicular to the horizontal plane on which is placed, in the supine position, the user. In the field of exercise equipment for physical therapy are known exercise bikes and ergometers in which the ride is done while sitting on a saddle. The user is then placed in higher position with respect to the pedals. Are also known other types of exercise bikes, such as those referred to as stationary bike recumbent in which the pedals are at the hips level with the pedaling performed in a sitting position, placing itself in a seat integrated with the bike. Were also made to use exercise bikes to bed, but this type of bike is to be considered belonging to the class of stationary bikes recumbent, needing to raise the bed to a chair and be done with the ride height of the hips. Unfortunately, the known types of exercise bikes can not be used by people who can not stay in a sitting position, either on a saddle than on a seat or a raised bed, as patients with back problems, with chronic spinal cord, prostate, in coma or in general forced to stand in the supine position. The sitting position and the pedals are placed under or at the same height of the hips therefore do not permit to use a stationary bike to a large series of individuals. These disadvantages are overcome by the exercise bike to be the subject of invention that the user puts his back against the bed or floor and horizontally with the ride on the high position higher than the hips. Pedaling with your legs higher than the upper body also involves several advantages, such as improving blood circulation and lymph flow.

The invention is in fact customizable depending on the physique that in the functional limitations of the user. The stationary bike for pedaling with legs in the vertical, with the complete adaptability to the user, has a pedaling personalized and modulated with the respect of movements is not painful and with the advantage of being able to adjust the amplitude of the movement according to the requirements given by the pathology. These and other advantages and objects of the invention are evident from the following detailed description of an embodiment of preferred but not exclusive, with reference to the accompanying drawings which illustrate by way of non-limiting the exercise bike according to the invention. In particular to Figure 1 of the sheet 1 is given perspective view of the invention with flywheel placed at the base. Figure 2 of the sheet 2 is perspective view of an embodiment with the flywheel placed in upper position. These elements connect the flywheel 17 at the base of the invented object. The flywheel 17 is disposed on a pin 21 within a support body 22, consisting for example of the sliding sleeve and shiftable vertically on the tubular element 3, to enable the transmission belt 18 to automatically adjust to various settings in vertical and horizontal of the telescopic arms 4 and 13. These shifts tend or release the drive belt 18, because raise or lower the supporting body 22 with the pin 21 of the axis of rotation of the flywheel 17. The belt 18 is then instantaneously stretched by the weight of the flywheel itself, free to move vertically through the support body 22 sliding on the tubular element 3. The invention is susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all within the inventive concept. All the details can be also replaced with other technically equivalent without departing from the field of protection of the following claims.
