摘要 | PURPOSE: To obtain an inexpensive heat insulating material, consisting of a shape memorizing polymer foam, excellent in moldability and capable of exhibiting a great change in elastic modulus before and after the glass transition point and effectively utilizing the change in the elastic modulus. CONSTITUTION: The objective heat insulating material obtained by blending a bifunctional diisocyanate (e.g., 2,4-toluene diisocyanate) with a bifunctional polyol (e.g., polypropylene glycol) and a bifunctional chain extender (e.g., ethylene glycol) containing active hydrogen groups at (2.00-1.10):1.00:(1.00-0.10) molar ratio, polymerizing the resultant blend by a prepolymer method and foaming the resultant shape memorizing polymer, expressed by the formula (m is 1-16; n is 0-16) and having NCO and OH in nearly equal amounts at the terminals, -50 to +60°C glass transition point and 3-50wt.% crystallinity with a decomposition type foaming agent (e.g., sodium bicarbonate) or volatile type foaming agent (e.g., compressed nitrogen gas).
