A bed frame assembly has diagonal struts that lock leg supports into place using novel locking mechanisms. A leg support is pivotally attached to a cross bar, and a slotted bracket is attached to another cross bar. A bolt with a conical washer is attached to a first end of a diagonal strut, and the second end is pivotally attached to the leg support. The diagonal strut is attached to the slotted bracket by inserting the bolt into a rounded slot and by pressing the conical washer down into a round opening of the rounded slot using a wing nut. The round opening is disposed at the end of a channel whose width is slightly larger than the diameter of the bolt. The diameter of the round opening is larger than the width of the channel and smaller than the largest diameter of a coned portion of the conical washer. |

An apparatus includes a rack plate 202 with a T-shaped slot 206 and upright protrusions 204 and is movable relative to a frame 106 between first, second, and third positions. A pinion plate 302 rotatably coupled to the frame 106 includes upright extensions 304 and a lock pin 306 movable within the slot 206. In the first position, the lock pin 206 is positioned in a first location within the slot 206, and as the rack plate 202 moves from the first to the second position, a first extension 304A engages a first protrusion 204A, which rotates the pinion plate 302. In the second position, the lock pin 306 is positioned in a second location within the slot 206, and as the rack plate 202 moves from the second position to the third position, a second extension 304B engages a second protrusion 204B and rotates the pinion plate 302. |

An foldable bed frame including a plurality of longitudinal beams spaced apart and parallel to each other. Each longitudinal beam is formed by a pair of longitudinal bars that are pivotally connected together. The bed frame also includes a plurality of transverse beams spaced apart and parallel to each other. Each transverse beam is formed by a pair of transverse bars that are pivotally connected together. Each transverse bar has a first sliding member slidingly coupled with a second sliding member for adjusting the bed frame to predetermined widths. The bed frame also includes legs connected to a corresponding lower side of each longitudinal bar free end. The longitudinal and transverse bars are coupled together to form a generally rectangular frame when the bed frame is in an open configuration, and are folded adjacent and parallel to each other when the bed frame is in a folded configuration. |

The present invention discloses a connecting structure for a bed foot. The bed foot is pivotally connected to a bottom of a bed board frame. An inner side of the bed foot is pivotally connected with at least one support rod. The support rod has a free end formed with a through hole. The bottom of the bed board frame is provided with a protruding post corresponding in position to the through hole. The through hole has an opening at one side thereof so that the through hole is able to engage with the protruding post through the opening, without aiming at the protruding post. Accordingly, the operation is very convenient and quick. |

Side rail members for supporting bed means in spaced relationship to a floor. The side rail members include first and second elongated side rail sections of generally L-shaped cross section disposed in substantially aligned end-to-end relationship. The side rail sections are interconnected by a knuckle member pivotally secured to the adjacent end portions thereof. The side rail sections are movable between a first in-use position wherein the side rail sections are disposed in an end-to-end relationsip and a second storage position wherein the first side rail sections are disposed in a side-by-side and generally parallel relationship, without the use of releasable extraneous fasteners or tools. |
