103 FOLDING BED BASE EP16382636.5 2016-12-21 EP3187072B1 2018-11-21 Senserrich Feixas, Ramón
A FOLDING BED BASE. Characterized in that the frame (3) is divided into two equal portions (3a, 3b), that may be folded over one another, and wherein the slats (2) of each portion are grouped into two symmetrical movable assemblies (21), transversally movable in order to bring them closer together or separate them from one another, determining the width of the bed base (1) and reaching the necessary dimensions for use in an extended position or reducing it to half its size in the folded position. Each of the two portions (3a, 3b) of the frame, the slats (2) are incorporated on fixed longitudinal tubes (31) and telescopically extendable transversal tubes (32) grouped into the two symmetrical movable assemblies (21) wherein the separations or spaces (5) between slats (2) coincide with the width thereof, such that the slats (2) of the two assemblies are inserted between each other. Each movable assembly (21) of slats (2) has a longitudinal strip (22). Two portions (3a and 3b) of the frame (3) are joined together by means of two extendable longitudinal tubes (33), which are articulately joined to the fixed longitudinal tubes (31) of each portion. The legs (4), once dismounted, are housed in recesses (34) available in the edges of the head end and the foot end of each upper (3a) and lower portion (3b) of the frame (3).

117 T-SHAPED SIDE RAILS FOR BED FRAME EP05748124.4 2005-05-16 EP1765120A2 2007-03-28 POLEVOY, Richard, S.; CARLSON, Paul, Eric; RYAN, Howard, Scott
A bed frame comprising T shaped side rails provide support for a box spring and mattress. A leg assembly is affixed to the bed frame and is affixed to the side rail and to the cross rails for better strength of connection. The use of T-shaped side rails provides more resistance to twisting and bowing and thereby more resistant to damage a leg or other structural component of the bed frame from moving the bed frame across the floor. The use of the T-shaped cross section side rails enables the overall bed frame to support more weight with less deflection than the convention L-shaped side rails. There are also headboard and footboard brackets that take advantage of the greater height of the vertical flange of the side rail to have affixation means, such as rivets, that are further spaced apart to provide a more rigid connection between the brackets and the side rails.

120 Multipurpose stone bed with cushion sheet EP03025857.8 2003-11-11 EP1530931A1 2005-05-18 Choi, Chang-Hwan Jang Soo Industrial Co., Ltd.

A multipurpose stone bed (1) which has one main bed part (20) and two sub-bed parts (20') provided at both sides of the main bed part (20) is disclosed. The main bed part (20) and/or the two sub-bed parts (20') have stone boards (10,10') that are covered with cushion sheets (22) and are heated by heating units (6,23) while being controlled in temperatures thereof. The cushion sheets (22) are made of soft materials capable of significantly reducing the pressure, thus giving a soft and comfortable touch to users and thereby being convenient to the users. The two sub-bed parts (20') can retract into and extend from both sides of the main bed part in a slide-type manner, thus being convenient to use them. The stone boards (10,10') may radiate far infrared rays and or anions to give a massage effect to the users, and may be used in a cold or hot state to give a cold or hot fomentation effect to the users. Due to cushion sheets (22) covering the hard stone boards (10,10') the multipurpose stone bed (1) significantly reduces the force of an impact, even when users sleep, rest, or stay on the stone boards (10,10') for long periods. Therefore, the stone boards (10,10') of the multipurpose stone bed (1) may not be harmful to the waists, vertebras and/or the joints of the users, so that the users, particularly, the elderly, do not suffer from lumbago, lordosis, kyphosis, and/or arthropathy.
