A bed moveable from a lowered position to a raised position includes two pairs of guides. In each pair, one guide is oriented so as to be substantially vertical and the other guide is disposed at an angle to the first guide. A lift assembly is located in each guide. A support including a frame is coupled to the lift assemblies. A drive system moves the lift assemblies in two directions, thereby lowering and raising the support. As the support is raised, it moves from a substantially horizontal orientation to a non-horizontal orientation. |

The invention features a collapsible, portable and elevated camp bed that attaches to any 4-wheel vehicle that has a cargo rack, like an All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) or attaches to the tailgate of a Utility Vehicle (UTV) for use in camping or hunting expeditions. As an accessory, the invention can be used as a bed capable of supporting a person. Height adjustable legs will level the surface for sleeping or use as a camping workbench or food prep table. U-shaped arches inserted in each of the four corners will allow a canopy to be added that will provide an enclosed sleeping area or as a place to store camping gear out of the weather. In a collapsed transportation mode, the invention actually expands the loading space of the cargo rack. |

The invention concerns a so-called fold-away bed, to be used in the fields of camping, seamanship, furnishing of bedsits and in all other dwellings where there is a lack of space, for which reason the components of the furniture must take up a minimum amount of space. Such a bed is characterised in that, in rest state, it is lifted until it comes into contact with the ceiling of the room in which it is inserted. In the dependant claims of the finding there are also special means that allow said bed to be moved. |

A combination jackknife bed and couch for a mobile vehicle. The jackknife bed and couch allows drivers to wake up and fold their sheets and pillow away from a seamless sleeping surface without the need to remove the sheets, blankets, pillows or other bedding materials. The sheets stay made within the folded up bed now turned into the couch. The couch may be unfolded with the sheets fully made so the driver may catch some well deserved post socializing rest without having to re-install the sheets. These features are made possible by folding the bed in and half and keeping it in the backrest of the couch. The sheets are held in place by stretchable retaining surface that may be extended over the bedding materials. When returned to the bed mode, the stretchable retaining surface must be released and potential energy in the winder may be used to retract the retaining surface. |
