Furniture such as chairs, sofas, chesterfields and sleeping units constructed mainly of plywood and foam rubber wherein a plywood deck coextensive with and supported by a rectangular plywood frame carries a slab of foam rubber that is coextensive with and cemented to the said deck, the foam rubber slab designed to support the body of the user being of suitable density and firmness. For seating articles, a back rest assembly of plywood is constructed and faced with foam rubber and bolted to the deck of the base and arms of plywood are likewise faced with foam rubber and attached to the base frame and back rest. Where the article of furniture is to serve as a sleeping unit, the foam rubber slab mounted on the base deck may be cemented thereto over the entire area of the deck or a perimetral strip area of the slab may be left free of attachment.

The present invention is directed to a linear actuator including an external adjustable variable limit switch. The linear actuator allows the position of the limit switch to be adjusted without disassembling the linear actuator or motor. In one embodiment, the linear actuator includes a profile tube having an upper end and a lower end, a slot that runs from the upper end to the lower end of the profile tube, and an internal track that runs from the upper end to the lower end of the profile tube. The linear actuator also includes at least one limit switch mounted on the slot and a limit switch adjuster and a locking fastener configured to permit the position of the limit switch to be adjusted without disassembly of the linear actuator or motor. The limit switch adjuster is further configured to be positioned in the internal track. |

A reversible adjustable lumbar support and headrest tilt mechanism is provided for installation on a chair. A side bracket is coupled to each side of the back frame, and a back bracket is pivotably coupled to each side bracket. An actuator is pivotably coupled to the back frame that has an extendable and retractable shaft. In a first orientation, with the actuator shaft extending toward the upper end of the back frame, a headrest back insert is couple-able to and between the back brackets, such that extension and retraction of the actuator shaft rotates the headrest back insert. In a second orientation, with the actuator shaft extending toward the lower end of the back frame, a lumbar push bar is couple-able to and between the back brackets, such that extension and retraction of the actuator shaft rotates the lumbar push bar. |
