An oven to counter gap cover device covers the gap between an oven and an adjacent counter top to prevent an unsanitary condition where food falls into the gap. The oven to counter gap cover device includes a rigid “L” shaped section of length approximately equal to the depth of the oven. Springs integrated into the vertical portion of the “L” shape section are compressed as the vertical portion is pushed in between the oven and counter. The force from the compressed springs holds the oven to counter gap device against the oven and counter top to keep it in place during cleaning and prevent food from getting under it. |

Provided are toroidal support structures and assemblies comprising these structures. A toroidal support structure comprises one or more side panels forming a tubular ring and one or more floor panels forming a planar ring. These rings define the toroidal shape of the structure. The structure also comprises multiple isolating linear support components connected to a top edge of the tubular ring. During installation of the structure, the isolating linear support components are attached to a mounting base for supporting the structure relative to the base, while providing thermal isolation to the rings and preventing their mechanical distortion. As such, a toroidal support structure can be attached to various types of mounting bases, such as a cryogenic tank of a spacecraft. Both rings provide supporting and mounting surfaces for equipment, cables, and pipes, while the toroidal opening allows external components to protrude through the support structure. |

An alert system includes an audio speaker or video display, and a communications unit. The communications unit is retained and supported by a power and data unit, and is configured to access data sources that include at least one of schedule information, environmental information, news reports, fire/police alerts, weather statements/information, and user-specific information, and to communicate with the audio speaker based upon the accessed data sources. The communications unit is configured to network with a computing device associated with a first user. The communications unit is configured to access the one or more data sources as defined by user-specific parameters associated with the first user. The first user is identified based upon a user ID associated with the networked computing device. The communications unit is configured to direct the audio speaker or the video display to issue an alert in response to the one or more accessed data sources. |

A securement device that includes a main support having a top surface, and a vertical support having a rear surface, front surface, inner edge, and outer edge. The vertical support's inner edge couples to the main support's top surface such that the main support is orthogonal to the vertical support. The securement device further includes an auxiliary support having a top surface, bottom surface, and inner edge, where the auxiliary support's inner edge couples to the vertical support's outer edge such that the auxiliary support is orthogonal to the vertical support. The main support has a first side-edge that extends out beyond a first side-edge of the vertical support to define a first side-top surface of the main support, and a second side-edge that extends out beyond a second side-edge of the vertical support to define a second side-top surface of the main support. |
