The invention relates to a fast height-adjustable equipment stand, particularly for a notebook or for a monitor with keyboard, which can be placed on a table and the support surface (2) of which can be raised or lowered so low that a keyboard situated on the support surface (2) can be operated without difficulty while sitting. To this end, at any height the equipment present thereon is held in a horizontal or defined oblique position such that the support surface (2) is guided by at least two folding brackets (3/4, 7/8), which cause a parallel guidance of the support surface (2) relative to the base surface (1) in that the edges (4a, 8a) thereof are fastened non-parallel to each other to the support surface (2) in an articulating manner, and that the support surface (2) can be locked in one or more heights to prevent accidental lowering.

An arrangement (4) for supporting a presentation device, for example in the form of an image presentation screen (2), wherein a work surface (3) is connected to the supporting arrangement (4), wherein the supporting arrangement (4) and the work surface (3) are both vertically and transversely movable and pivotally disposed, and wherein the pivotal movement of the work surface (3) is forcibly coupled to the angular movement of the supporting arrangement (4) such as to achieve simultaneously a change in the angle of the supporting arrangement (4) in relation to a stand (5) on the one hand, and a change in the angle of the work surface in relation to the stand (5) on the other hand, in response to the influence exerted by a manoeuvring device (6A, 6B, 6C).
184 | HEIGHT ADJUSTABLE DESK | EP03757585.9 | 2003-10-02 | EP1545267A1 | 2005-06-29 | Sykes, Christopher C. |
A desk assembly (10) comprises a base (12) adapted to stably engage a floor surface. An upright support member (14) is secured to and extends upwardly from the base. A planar desk (34) is connected in slidable engagement to the support member (14) between a lower (L) and an upper position (U). Biasing means, preferably a gas spring (100), is connected between the base (12) and the desk (34). The biasing means biases the desk upwardly from said lower position (L) toward said upper position (U). Locking means is operable to selectively secure said desk intermediate said lower and upper positions. The provision of an upwardly biased force by biasing means, between the upper and lower positions, improves convenience for the user when adjusting height of the desk.

In a table structure, in which a table top is moved vertically via a parallel link mechanism, according to the present invention, a cover enclosing a side surface of the parallel link mechanism is provided and the lowering of an initial position of the table top does not cause an increase in the manufacturing cost. In this table structure, the heights of the positions at which a front link in the parallel link mechanism is fixed and those at which a rear link is fixed are set at different levels on the side of the table top and on the side of the floor.
