| The invention relates to a quarter-turn fastener for fastening a panel to a support, the fastener comprising an integrally moulded plastics stud having a head and a shank. The shank extends in use through elongate slots in the panel and support and is formed by a pair of depending resilient legs each of which has at its end remote from the head a transverse flange for engaging the rear surface of the support adjacent the slot in which the stud is mounted. Each leg includes an abutment arranged to engage the side of the slot in the support or in the panel after rotation of the stud through substantially a quarter of a turn to prevent further rotation in the same sense. A resilient camming surface is also provided on each leg for engaging the side of the slot in the support during turning of the stud so that the legs have to be forced towards one another during the rotation and can then be released so that unintentional rotation of the stud from its operative position, in which the flanges of the legs abut the rear surface of the support, to its inoperative position in which the flanges can be withdrawn through the support slot, is prevented. | ||||||

| PURPOSE: A tag ring is provided to allow a string to be inserted and assembled from both sides much faster and easier. CONSTITUTION: A tag ring (400) includes: a groove that has a cylinder shape and is penetrated from the both ends in a length direction; a stepped portion which is cut in the determined thickness by the determined section from the groove entrance of both sides toward the center portion of the length direction; a slit portion (430) which is formed at the determined intervals from the groove entrance of one side in which the stepped portion is formed toward the groove entrance in which the opposite stepped portion is formed; and at least one pair of protrusions (441,442) protruding on any one or both of slit surfaces of two slit surfaces which oppose each other in the slit portion. The stepped portion is cut so that the thickness of a cut portion is thicker than that of the remaining portion, the thickness of a cut portion is thinner than that of the remaining portion, or thickness of a cut portion is same as that of the remaining portion. The determined section that is cut from the stepped portion is within the section from the groove entrance before the protrusion, and is the remaining section except for the determined section forming the slit portion. The protrusion has a side that has a relatively gentle inclination so that when a string (410) inserted from a groove entrance enters the center portion, the string is not interrupted, and a side (431) that has the relatively steep inclination so that when the inserted string escapes to the groove entrance, the string is interrupted.
