The method continues by applying additional adhesive over the first coat of particles, depositing additional particles onto the adhesive to provide the shoe outsole with a second coat of particles, and at least partially curing the subsequent application of adhesive.

The heating device is provided in a position corresponding to a heating zone for heating the gumming surface. The gum applying device applies a gum on the gumming surface according to the gumming data, by which the quality and speed of gumming process can be enhanced.

An adhesive supply system is also provided for supplying adhesive to the reservoir, said system including a melting device for adhesive in solid form and pressure control means for controlling the pressure under which the adhesive is supplied.
