24 COOL WIG-LIKE HAT AND METHOD OF PRODUCING SAME EP90903430.8 1990-02-26 EP0476132B1 1996-05-22 Takahashi, Masakatsu
A cool wig-like hat produced by implanting artificial hair in an artificial head skin. The artificial hair consists of carbon fibers or thin thread-like products each of which is composed of a plurality of knitted carbon fibers, while the artificial head skin consists of a central net portion (1) obtained by forming a net with carbon fibers or thin thread-like products each of which is composed of a plurality of knitted carbon fibers, and a circumferential web-like portion (2) provided on the outer circumferential part of the central net portion and having a plurality of minute holes. The carbon fibers have a very high heat conductivity and excellent heat radiation characteristics, so that they can prevent the head from becoming stuffy and from perspiring, i.e., they can prevent the occurrence of the phenomena encountered, especially, when a conventional wig is worn. Since the carbon fibers have a high chemical resistance, perfumed ointment and a dyeing agent can be applied freely to this cool wig-like hat. The hat according to the present invention is produced by bringing the artificial hair (3) into contact with an artificial head skin (6) through a sieve member (4) and a boring frame (5), and fixing the hair thereto.
