A belt comprising a band (1) made of leather or of another material having substantially the same stiffness, and a buckle (2) for mutually engaging the ends of said band (1), is characterised in that the band (1), when open and stretched over a plane, has a curved shaped, i.e. outlined by two generally curved longitudinal edges (1a, 1b). When the belt is worn, it takes up a substantially frustoconical shape, the shorter longitudinal edge (1b) being placed on the upper side.

A lumbar support garment for surrounding at least the lumbar region of a wearer of the garment comprises a main cloth, a stretchable auxiliary belt, and longitudinal sheet-form support bones. The main cloth comprises a single-sheet of cloth made of stretchable fabric, or a face cloth (1) and a lining cloth (2) made of stretchable knit fabric, and extends in use from the lumbar region of the wearer's back, around the wearer's sides, to at least the sides of the wearer's abdomen; and wherein the main cloth includes vertical seam parts (4,4') in the vicinity of the side regions or seam parts at least extending from the waist sides and slant downwards in the front of the main cloth. Darts are formed at the seam parts configuring the vertical-sectional form of convex shape to the skin side. The stretchable auxiliary belt (3) is made of stretchable knit fabric narrower than the main cloth and is provided on the skin side surface of the main cloth or the outermost surface of the main cloth at the position between the face cloth and the lining cloth of the main cloth, extends from the back at least to the side regions and is fixed to the above-mentioned main cloth at least at both right and left ends of the auxiliary belt. The longitudinal sheet-form support bones (8,8') are made of an elastomer resin or an amorphous resin in the vicinity of the portions in contact with right and left M. latissimus dorsi (32,32') and M. gluteous maximus (33,33') of the wearer's back side of the lumbar support garment, and are mounted directly to the outermost surface of the main cloth or to the face cloth and/or lining cloth at the portion between the face cloth and lining cloth of the main cloth.

The present invention provides lumbar support garments which are preferable for relieving and preventing lumbago suited for sports applications.

La structure de ceinture, notamment pour le port d'équipements de plongée, comporte une sangle de fermeture (2) ayant au moins un brin libre (7a ; 7b) sur une face duquel sont fixés au moins deux premiers éléments d'accrochage (13), typiquement en forme de boucles, susceptibles de coopérer avec un deuxième élément d'accrochage (4) relié à la partie centrale (3), typiquement formé dans une aile d'un élément porteur dorsal sensiblement rigide (1), de façon à modifier la longueur efficace du brin libre selon les différentes tailles des utilisateurs.

Ein Fahrtenmesser (1), welches in eine am Körper zu befestigende, insbesondere am Gürtel (8) zu tragende Scheide (4) einsteckbar und ohne Entfernung der Scheide (4) aus dieser entnehmbar ist, soll so ausgebildet werden, daß es ohne Beeinträchtigung seiner Universalfunktion möglichst unauffällig getragen werden kann.

Hierzu ist erfindungsgemäß vorgesehen, daß die Messerscheide (4) während des Tragens horizontal vor dem Hosenbund des Trägers liegt und daß der dem Körper des Trägers zugewandte Boden der Messerscheide (4) eine Krümmung aufweist, die der Körperkrümmung des Trägers im horizontalen Querschnitt des Hosenbundbereiches entspricht, wobei das in die Scheide (4) einsteckbare Messer (1) wenigstens im Klingenbereich eine Elastizität aufweist, durch welche das Messer (1) im eingesteckten Zustand der Krümmung der Scheide (4) folgt.

Auf einem flexiblen Trägermaterial (1), vorzugsweise eine textile Stoff- oder Kunstlederbahn (1), wird ein Holzfur­nier (2) aufkaschiert. Mittels Prägestanzungen (5) wird das Furnier (2) in Furnierplättchen (6) unterteilt. Danach oder gleichzeitig mit der Prägestanzung, wird der so ge­bildete Schichtstoff in Streifen oder Bänder gestanzt oder geschnitten.

Diese Bänder oder Streifen lassen sich zu Krawatten, Arm­bänder oder Gürtel verarbeiten.

La ceinture comporte deux lanières (1,2), notamment en cuir, dont les extrémités avant sont munies d'un moyen de fermeture (3,4,5) et dont les parties arrière se chevauchent, et peuvent coulisser et être immobilisées l'une par rapport à l'autre grâce à des dispositifs (6) de coulissement et de blocage. Cette ceinture comprend deux dispositifs (6) identiques et montés en sens opposés, constitués d'une pièce de base (7) et d'une pièce de blocage (8), articulée sur la pièce de base (7), entre lesquelles passe l'une des lanières (1 ou 2).

Le système de reglage pour ceinture ajustable est formé de deux lanières superposées et constitué de deux coulisseaux (5) identiques disposés inversement l'un par rapport a l'autre sur lex extremités oposées aux moyens de fermeture de la ceinture.

Chacun des coulisseaux (5) est constitué au moins d'une par­tie formée d'un anneau applati (2) ayant un bord supérieur plus large que l'inférieur,que l'autre,de manière à ménager une ouverture ayant une épaisseur équivalente à celle de la lanière, cet anneau (2) se prolongeant au niveau de son bord supérieur par une languette (3), cette languette (3) permet­tant l'introduction et le collage de chacun des coulisseaux (5) dans chacune des lanières. (6, 7). Dans le cas où cette partie (8) est metallique, elle constitue la seule pièce com­posant le coulisseau (5). Si cette partie (8) est en plasti­que rigide, elle vient s'emboiter dans une partie métalli­que (1) en forme d'anneau applati de forme et dimensions cor­respondant à celles de l'anneau applati (2).

A chain link belt (22) includes a plurality of tube pairs (24,26) each pair comprising two tubes (24,26) joined along their sides in a substantially parallel relation. A plurality of wires (30) of predetermined lengths are used to join the tubes (24,26) to form the belt links (22). The wires (30) are formed in a quadrilateral with the tubes (24,26) on opposite sides thereof and with the joined ends of the wire links positioned within one of the tubes (24,26) hidden from view. One of the wires (30) is engaged through one tube (24,26) of the adjacent tube pairs (24,26) and another wire (30) is engaged through the other tube pairs (24,26) for connection of other tube pairs (24,26) to form the chain link belt (22).

Reflective safety belt having an elongated portion 1 for removable attachment around the waist of a user and an elongated strap portion 2 fixed by its ends to the waist portion at two regions 3 thereof, for removable attachment over the shoulder of a user, which portions are made of flexible retro-reflective and fluorescent sheet material. The waist portion 1 has a part 4 provided with at least one margin 5 projecting externallyofthe waist portion part from a general edge line thereof. This margin 5 forms one of the fixture regions for the strap portion 2 and is so shaped to form with the respective end of the strap portion fixed thereto, a rounded or radiussed edge 7 at each junction between the strap portion 2 and waist portion part 4 adjoining edges in order to minimise stress at these junctions and thereby reduce the likelihood of tearing of the strap portion 2 or waist portion part 4 at these junctions. Preferably the at least one margin 5 is integral with the waist portion part 4 and is shaped from the piece of material forming the waist portion 1.
