A garment, such as a woman's slip, that includes a skirt portion weighted so as to induce tension into the garment when worn by a wearer standing erect. The skirt portion is weighted by securing one or more concentrated tensioning weights to the skirt portion proximate its bottom. The tension induced into the garment by the concentrated tensioning weight(s) inhibits the garment from riding-up on the wearer. The amount of weight provided by the concentrated tensioning weights and the location of the tensioning weights on the skirt can be carefully selected to minimize swinging, for example, while walking and climbing stairs. |

A garment accessory is disclosed for preventing the fabric of a pair of pants or a skirt from being entangled between the heel and shoe sole during movement, such as walking. The garment accessory is affixed to the base of a pants leg or skirt, on the back and inside portion of the pants, at the region closest to the heel. The garment accessory temporarily stiffens the region of the pants or skirt around the heel, so as to avoid entanglement of the garment fabric between the heel and the backless shoes during movement. |

An attachment device for attaching a firefighter's trousers to the firefighter's boots, in which the trousers cover a portion of the firefighter's boots. The attachment device maintains the firefighter's trousers in covering relationship to the boots, and portions of the trousers cannot become lodged on the upper edge of the boots as the firefighter bends and crawls and the like. Each attachment device has a band which encompasses one of the firefighter's boots. A strap extends from the band and has fastener elements which attach to portions of the firefighter's trousers which encompass the boot. Thus, the trousers are attached to the boot. |
