The strap (1) for the ready-to-wear tie comprises a single zipper band (4). The free sections of said band may be joined or separated by means of a zipper (5). Said zipper (5) is movable with respect to guiding members (7, 8) of the band sections. It is placed with respect to a fixed point (24) so that it may be seized and easily displaced in any position of the tie outside the tie knot (15). With tie wearers which have the habit to draw on the tie to place the knot exactly in the middle of the collar, as well with those who have the habit of tying themselves the tie, this way of doing results in the blocking of the zipper mechanism because the zipper is not rigidly connected to the strap.

A necktie holder for securing, around the neck of a wearer, an article of clothing having first and second ends includes: a central portion defining a channel that passes through the necktie holder, the central portion having first and second sides; and first and second wings extending, respectively, from the first and second sides of the central portion. The first and second wings each are arranged with respect to the central portion so that the necktie holder formed by the central portion and the first and second wings is the shape of a knot of a necktie. The channel is configured to permit the first and second ends of the article of clothing to slideably, snugly, and adjustably interact with the channel, whereby the necktie holder can be drawn upwardly over the first and second ends of the article of clothing toward the neck of the wearer.

18 Necktie fastening device US508583 1995-07-28 US5577302A 1996-11-26 Wesley A. Bortle
A necktie fastening device including a pair of securing members that are attachable to the severed, central ends of a conventional necktie that has been severed in half with a pair of scissors or the like. Each securing member is formed from a flexible material that has been formed to create a first, second, and third flap member. The first and second flap members each have a quantity of adhesive deposited on areas thereof that face away from one another and which are covered with a flexible removable section of cover material. An elongated flexible pull tab is secured to each removable section. In use, the adhesive is placed in contact with the interior surface of the tie through the severed central end and forms an attachment between the necktie fabric and the securing member with the central lining of the necktie disposed between the first and second flap members. The third flap member includes either a section of hook material from a hook and pile type fastener or a section of pile material from a hook and pile type fastener that is secured to one side thereof. The other side of the third flap may be adapted to display advertising indicia if desired such as the name and location of a store or clothing manufacturer.

The lengths of the front panels of each elongated necktie segment may be readily adjusted.
20 Clip-on necktie US833054 1992-02-10 US5123118A 1992-06-23 Bob Shaw
The present invention allows an ordinary necktie to be converted into usage as a clip-on necktie. A pair of flexible plastic fasteners are provided with a series of slots at one end of each fastener. The necktie is threaded through selected slots such that a span of necktie is formed between the ends of the fasteners. The tie is then tied in a normal fashion using any form of knot selected by the users. Once formed, the clip-on necktie may be assumed by placing the ends of the fasteners around the neck so that the fastening portions engage and interlock.
