A headband monitoring system comprises or consists of an elastic fabric headband for fitting around an individual's head over the individual's forehead, ears and lower back portion of the head. In addition, a pedometer, a heart rate monitor and a number of sensors for detecting number of steps taken and heartbeats in given periods of time and a mini-computer having an input mechanism, data storage, central processing unit and a clock/timer for calculating distance traveled in a given period. Finally, the system includes an individual's smartphone separately disposed from the headband and a Bluetooth transmitter disposed in the elastic fabric band and wirelessly connected to the smartphone for displaying heart rate, steps taken and distance traveled on the smartphone. Finally, a timer and vibrating alarm is disposed in said fabric band for warning an individual that their heart rate has exceeded a predetermined level and that it is time to reduce the exertion over a limited period of time before stopping the exercise.
262 Sweat diverter US14677799 2015-04-02 US09585427B2 2017-03-07 James Shapiro; Don Godfrey; Neil Sheehan
Described herein are sweat-diverting devices which can be adhered to a wearer by an adhesive. The sweat-diverting devices described here may be adhered over a portion of the face without circumscribing the head. Such sweat-diverting devices may comprise a first leg and a second leg that are joined at a base of the device to form a channel therebetween, where at least a portion of the base is more rigid than the first and second legs such that an acute angle between the first and second legs is maintained when the sweat-diverting device is applied on a wearer's forehead. In some variations, the thickness of the base is greater than the thickness of either of the legs, which may help to maintain a separation between the tips of the legs even when the sweat-diverting device is applied to a wearer's forehead.

A manufacturing method uses a main body piece formed of an elastic fabric material and having a first portion having a first end, a second portion having a second end opposite the first end, and two side ends extending between the first and second ends. A bonding material is placed in contact with the first and/or second portions, arranged in lines extending in a direction between the first and second ends. The lines are spaced from each other in a second direction extending between the side ends. The main body piece is folded so that the first portion confronts the second portion, defining a fold line, where the bonding material is positioned between the first and second portions. The folded main body piece is then heat pressed and bent so the side ends are connected together to form a band having a tubular body defining a central passage.

278 Sweatband Extension Towel US14183475 2014-02-18 US20160037840A1 2016-02-11 Keith Allen Basik
The inventive concept is a wristband or sweatband towel combination which is attached to the wrist of a user who is involved in sporting or working activities and who uses the towel for wiping perspiration from various parts of the body of the user. The wristband or sweatband surrounds the wrist and may have a way of separately attaching the towel to the wristband. This means that it can be separated at any time. The towel itself can be folded into half or completely into a fully retracted position to thereby be placed on top of the wristband. At this location the towel is usable to wipe perspiration in a limited fashion.
