Alternatively, the knuckle support member and the flexible member may be fuse bonded to one another. Methods for making such glove structures are also provided.

The wearing modes include full exposure of a hand, exposure of the thumb and the four fingers, exposure of the four finger tips, full hand coverage, and full hand coverage by an integral glove (100). The hand coverings may be provided as separate mittens.

The mitten attachment (30) of the invention is, preferably, secured to the wearer's hand (20), over a glove (22) already being worn by the wearer, via a series of strap portions (32 and 34) which preferably secure the mitten attachment by having one strap portion (32) encircle the wrist area of the user and another strap portion (34) encircling the palm area of the user. The mitten attachment (30) also, preferably, includes a thumb attachment portion (50) for the optional enclosure of the gloved thumb of the user. The mitten portion (36) of the mitten attachment article may be utilized to hold conventional pocket items, such as money (42) or keys. Various other embodiments of the present invention are also disclosed.

Various embodiments of patient-mittens are disclosed and described. Such embodiments may include a hand-cover portion attached to a hollow elongate-sleeve portion. Opposite from the hand-cover portion, there may be an arm-grabber attached at an end of the elongate-sleeve. Some embodiments, may include an access-slit on the elongate-sleeve for placing IVs and the like in a patient wearing the patient-mitten. The patient-mitten may help to minimize IVs and vital sign sensors from becoming dissociated from the patient. Some embodiments may be UV permeable to encourage vitamin D production in the patient. Some embodiments may provide a conducive environment for treating skin conditions on the arm, hand, or fingers.

The user may aim the pepper spray canister in the direction of an attacker and activate the control in order to incapacitate the attacker with the pepper spray. The rear portion further includes a warning label and a light thereon in order to deter would-be assailants from initiating a confrontation.
