An individual can have hair on their head washed or cut while the apparatus is wrapped around the upper torso of the individual.

A protective over-garment is disclosed that can be manufactured entirely by making cuts in a single sheet of plastic or other flexible material. In preferred embodiments it is disposable. The sheet has a neck hole in the center and covers the user's shoulders, upper arms, back, and chest. A cut radiating from the hole allows insertion of the user's head. The rim of the hole is held against the wearer's neck by tying together two strips of material formed by cuts that partially separate them from the sheet. Similar strips can hold the first cut and/or the sides of the garment closed. In preferred embodiments the sheet can be rectangular, hourglass, or double-hourglass in shape, and/or the sheet can be folded to fit in a standard home hair coloring kit. Cuts can be perforated, and the garments can be manufactured as a continuous length of sheets joined at perforated intersections.

This invention provides an apron having at least one beverage pocket specifically designed for holding beverage containers at a convenient location for easy access by the user. The pocket includes a reinforced outer rim, formed from a durable polymer ring or gusset in an illustrative embodiment. In one implementation, the pocket is located along the lower end of a side wing of the apron so that it is generally below and within easy reach of the wearer's right (or left) hand. The ring/gusset secures an appropriately sized inner beverage pocket pouch that has a depth and perimeter size sufficient to house an average-sized beverage container. The depth of is arranged so that the top of an average container either protrudes slightly, or is completely recessed within the pouch. The pouch may be constructed from one or more layers of insulating material to allow the drink to retain its heat or coolness and preventing transfer of heat/cold to the wearer's body. In an illustrative embodiment, the apron can also include additional convenient features, such as a retractable, lanyard-mounted bottle opener. The retractable cord/lanyard-mounted bottle opener is placed within easy reach of the user, and may be located on the same side of the apron as the pocket, at a position above the pocket, in this embodiment.

That is, the pocket automatically falls open when the cloth is in use while burping an infant. The cloth may be made from any suitable soft, absorbent material, such as cotton, fleece and the like. An alternate embodiment includes an adjuster (7) located on a strap pair (18) wherein the user feeds the end portion of the strap (4) through the adjuster (7) and pulls the strap (4) so as to make the strap (4) tight against the bottle (10). To use the cloth (1) as a baby diaper changing pad, the user simply flips the cloth (1) so that the back side (8) is face up, places the baby's head onto the pillow (2) and changes the diaper. The user may then wipe the back side (8) with a disinfecting wipe to kill the germs.

The present invention generally relates to an apron having a lap basin that is bounded by a stiffened rim which acts as a waste retaining barrier. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a lap basin that is attached to the bottom edge of a torso section. The lap basin includes a stiffened rim and a bottom section with the stiffened rim attached to the outside edge of the bottom section so that it is positioned in a generally vertical manner. The stiffened rim is constructed by inserting a relatively stiff material, such as a polyester film, into a rim tube. The torso section includes a head loop that is attached to the top edge of a bib and two tie straps that are attached to the top of the vertical side edges of the bib. The elements that form the torso section and the bottom section and rim tube of the lap basin are constructed from a flexible, durable fabric which causes the apron to comfortably conform to a user's shape and position. When a user wearing the apron assumes a sitting position, the lap basin provides a broad, open working area that will retain waste material such as carving chips or shavings.
