The method comprises either: (1) limiting the volume of at least one of the chambers, filling the chambers with a fluid at a single inflation pressure from a single inflation point and sealing the interconnecting passage, or (2) filling the chambers with a fluid at a single inflation pressure from a single inflation point compressing at least one of the distinct chambers, and sealing the interconnecting passage. The method is particularly suited to manufacture of a footwear cushion comprised of a body of elastomeric material having a plurality of sealed non-communicating cells having a single inflation point. At least two cells sharing a single sealed inflation passage are at different pressures.

L'invention consiste principalement en une chaussette textile, confectionnée à partir de deux tubes textiles emboités l'un dans l'autre de façon à former, au moins sur la partie de la chaussette recouvrant le pied, une paroi double définissant un espace permettant de loger une semelle. Les deux tubes textile sont assemblés par couture à une extrémité de façon à former la pointe de la chaussette, tandis que du côté de l'extrémité ouverte de la chaussette, le bord d'extrémité tube intérieur est cousu sur la face interne du tube extérieur. Le façonnage et le montage de la pointe de la chaussette est réalisé à plat par couture et la couture joignant à cet endroit les extrémités des deux tubes délimite un zone de l'espace entre les deux tubes dans laquelle peut être insérée la pointe d'une semelle, qui est ainsi maintenu en place lorsqu'on enfile la chaussette. An article of apparel is provided having a storage pocket. The article may be a sock (10) having a first portion adapted to surround the foot and a second portion (11) adapted to surround the lower leg of a wearer. The sock has a pocket (12) in the form of a flattened tube (14) having first and second openings. The tube is flattened and folded so that the first opening generally faces toward the middle of the tube. The tube is attached to the second portion of the sock around a portion of the perimeter of the tube. The edges (20) of the folded portion of the tube are attached to the exterior of the sock. The second opening of the tube is closed (22) to form a first pocket within the tube. The space between the tube and the exterior of the sock defines a second pocket (18).
