An electronic cigarette vaporiser includes a heating element and a microcontroller; the microcontroller monitors or measures the airflow speed or pressure drop over an air-pressure sensor or other sensor and uses that as an input to control the power delivered to the heating element. The microcontroller can compensate for a very strong inhalation by applying more power during that inhalation as compared to a very light inhalation to ensure that the heating element is kept at its optimal heating temperature. |

An electronic cigarette vaporiser includes a heating element and a microcontroller; the microcontroller monitors or measures electrical characteristics of the heating element and uses that to automatically identify the type of heating element and as a control input. The microcontroller automatically applies different heating parameter controls to the heating element, including optimal and maximum operating temperature, depending on the type of heating element that is identified. |

A smoking article provides a purchased, as-built cigar that can be disassembled to form multiple cigars, enabling a consumer to make his or her own cigars using custom tobacco filler. The as-built cigar is capped as part of its construction, preferably at one end or at both ends. A smoker removes the cap or caps to enable smoking of the as-built cigar or disassembly into layers. Each layer can then be rolled with a smoker's custom tobacco. The inner layer contains tobacco filler. Upon disassembly, the inner layer and tobacco filler can be smoked. Alternatively, the inner layer can be pulled apart at a provided serration to discard the tobacco filler and then filled and rolled with a smoker's custom tobacco filler material. |

An improved cigarette package is provided. The cigarette package first comprises a container which serves as a housing for a plurality of cigarettes. The housing is a rectangularly-shaped outer container formed from a blank. The package also includes a lid, which is hingedly connected to the container at an upper end. Opening and closing the lid provides selective access and closure to the container. The package further includes an inner layer of foil. The inner foil layer is configured to reside along an inner surface of the container. The package additionally includes a substrate. The substrate resides along an inner surface of the lid, and includes an adhesive material. When the lid is in a closed state, the distal end of the substrate generally mates with upper edges of an upper contour of a front surface of the container, while a tab has a distal end that matches an upper contour of the front surface of the inner lining above the front surface of the container, thereby enabling a one-step closure and seal for the cigarette package and thereby increasing the life of the cigarettes inside the box. A method of sealing a cigarette package is also provided herein. |
