197 AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OPERATING THE AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEM EP16784512.2 2016-10-21 EP3364789A1 2018-08-29 MIRONOV, Oleg; ZINOVIK, Ihar Nikolaevich; FURSA, Oleg
An aerosol delivery system comprises an inductive heating device (1; 3) and an aerosol-forming article (2; 4), The aerosol-forming article (1; 3) comprises—a plurality of aerosol-forming segments (200, 201; 400, 401); and—at least two different susceptors (203, 204; 403, 404). The inductive heating device (1; 3) comprises—a device housing (10; 30) comprising a cavity (11; 31) to accommodate at least a portion (20; 40) of the aerosol-forming article (2; 4) comprising the plurality of aerosol-forming segments (200, 201; 400, 401); —a coil (L) arranged to surround the cavity (11; 31); —an electrical power source (12); and—a power supply electronics (14) connected to the electrical power source (12) and to the coil (L). The power supply electronics (14) is configured to supply an alternating current to the coil (I; I1, I2) to generate an alternating magnetic field having magnetic field strength (H) and a frequency (f) to in at least one aerosol-forming 20 segment (200; 201; 400; 401) generate a thermal power (PS;PS1, PS2) which is greater than the rate of heat loss (QLOSS) of this aerosol-forming segment (200; 201; 400; 401).
198 PREPACKAGED SMOKABLE MATERIAL CAPSULE EP12701022.1 2012-01-13 EP2725932B1 2018-08-22 JALLOUL, Samer; EL HAJJ, Georges; JABER, Nabil
Disclosed is a prepackaged smokable material capsule, comprising a container having an internal volume that allows a user to place a packaged amount of shisha or similar tobacco product into a hookah bowl without physical contact therewith. The capsule has a removable seal, an inlet, outlet and an internal agitator means within the capsule. The seal removably covers its upper inlet and lower outlet prior to use. Once removed, the inlet and outlet are preferably pre-perforated, or alternatively may then be perforated by a user, prior to a layer of coals be placed thereonto for burning the capsule contents and allowing smoke to be drawn therefrom. The imbedded agitator provides a means to control the density of the capsule contents and prevent clumping to ensure free flowing passage of air therethrough. Also disclosed is a capsule retainment system comprising a hookah bowl and capsule clamp.
199 APPARATUS FOR GENERATING AN INHALABLE MEDIUM EP16781697.4 2016-09-30 EP3355734A1 2018-08-08 HEPWORTH, Richard; SUTTON, Joseph; WOODCOCK, Dominic; GOODALL, Sharon
Apparatus and methods for generating an inhalable medium are disclosed. An apparatus includes a container for holding a liquid, a heater for volatilizing liquid held in the container to generate a flow of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol in use, and a receptacle for receiving material. The receptacle is located adjacent to the heater such that in use, material received in the receptacle is heated by the heater. One or more constituents of material received in the receptacle in use are mixed with the flow of at least one of a vapor and an aerosol in use to produce the inhalable medium.
200 METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR VAPORIZATION OF SUBSTANCE EP17195788.9 2006-07-18 EP3311684A1 2018-04-25 Monsees, James; Bowen, Adam

A cartridge for use in a device for vaporising a material. The cartridge comprises a moist layer (35) comprising a vapour-forming material, and a dry layer (36) which consists of tobacco or other filler.
