5 SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR LAND APPLICATION OF WASTE FLUIDS US12958294 2010-12-01 US20110266357A1 2011-11-03 Russel Lloyd ORCUTT; Jason PECHT
A system and method are provided for automated control of application of fluid to a surface. A surface map is annotated with shapes designating zones for spraying, and excluding others. A control system in a vehicle uses the annotated map and GPS to assist the operator of the vehicle avoid spraying on excluded zones, and provides a record of the spraying operation including locations sprayed and fluid spray rates. The control system operates valves to control spraying from a container on the vehicle, based on several parameters, so as to avoid spraying excluded zones and steep slopes, to avoid overlaps, and to limit fluid spray rates below pre-determined maximums. The system further assists the operator by providing a visual guide on a display. A kit can be provided to retrofit a vehicle for landspraying.
6 Method and apparatus for spreading a liquid slurry US09608109 2000-06-30 USRE37863E1 2002-10-01 Marcel Depault
A trailer vehicle for distributing a fertilizing manure slurry to a field which includes a slurry distribution assembly mounted to the tear of the vehicle having four slurry distribution units, each with three plow teeth and a slurry distribution nozzle associated with the teeth for feeding the slurry at root level in the soil. The distribution assembly includes an elongated manifold with four flexible conduits extending from the manifold to each nozzle on the distribution units. The manifold communicates with the slurry tank. The trailer vehicle can also have a special suspension to maintain the tank relatively level. The trailer has three sets of wheels which are articulated in tandem, and the rear wheels of the trailer can be steered in the arc traced by the motive vehicle pulling the trailer. The tank includes an annular wall defining an impeller pump area and a door is hinged to the annular wall. An impeller pump wheel is mounted on the door in the pump area which pumps slurry to the distribution assembly.
7 Animal, human and industrial waste distribution system US4890 1998-01-09 US6116275A 2000-09-12 John A. George, Jr.
The outlet hose from the lagoon pump is telescopically connected to the waste injector inlet tube such that the outlet hose is free to rotate and maintain itself in a straight condition by the fluid pressure in the outlet hose during use. A tow swivel is provided which allows the tractor and waste injector to pull the outlet hose back and forth across the field without interfering with the free rotation of the outlet hose relative to the inlet tube.

9 Slurry mixer and spreader US707353 1976-07-21 US4082227A 1978-04-04 Merle V. McGrane; Earl F. McGrane
A mobile slurry mixer and spreader comprising a rotatable screen attached to and rotated by a drive and disposed within a mixing tank over a discharge opening. The rotatable screen prevents debris from entering the discharge opening while allowing a slurry material to enter the discharge opening. The mixing tank is mounted on a mobile chassis and a spreader is in fluid communication with the discharge opening of the tank. An agitator shaft is horizontally disposed within the tank and a plurality of mixing paddles are attached to the shaft and arranged to move slurry material toward the discharge opening while providing an improved mixing of the slurry material. The mixed slurry material passing through the discharge opening is distributed to the area over which the chassis travels.

20 Positioning apparatus for sludge distributing hose US12582888 2009-10-21 US08256692B2 2012-09-04 James T. Knowles
Apparatus for positioning and maneuvering a sludge, or manure, distributing hose used in fertilizing a field includes a first frame adapted for coupling to a three-point tractor hitch and a second frame pivotally coupled to an aft portion of the first frame. Attached to and disposed aft of the second frame is a horizontally oriented, rotatable wheel assembly adapted to engage, lift and position the hose and to provide for changes in the direction of the hose as it is pulled through a field during fertilizing. The wheel assembly is horizontally and vertically pivotable about the first frame for respectively facilitating maneuvering of the hose in a field and for raising the wheel assembly for transport. A locking mechanism is provided for engaging and preventing rotation of the wheel assembly when desired. Hydraulic cylinders connected to the tractor's hydraulic system allow for changing the configuration of the apparatus.
