101 Mower with release safety device US476554 1990-02-07 US4970848A 1990-11-20 Horst Neuerburg; Fernand Kieffer
A mower includes a first chassis attachable to a tractor for movement in a work direction, a second chassis having first and second structures connected at a joint extending perpendicular to the work direction, and connecting rods, each having respective ends pivotally connected to the first chassis and to the second structure of the second chassis so as to form with the first and second chassis an upwardly deformable quadrilateral deformable such that the work elements may move to adapt to ground contours. A release safety device normally prevents pivoting of the first structure about the joint but permits pivoting of the first structure about the joint axis when the first structure or the working elements hooks an obstacle during movement of the mower in the work direction. This limits forces applied to the mower.
102 Two-way plow with offset trips US420448 1982-09-20 US4519461A 1985-05-28 Eldon A. Harden; Kent B. Randol
A plow that has a plurality of equally spaced right hand plows and left hand plows that are mounted one above the other on a beam of the plow support structure. Each right hand plow has trip linkage that is offset from the trip linkage of the left hand plow of the set. The plow structure is mounted on a frame for 180.degree. rotation on an axis offset from the longitudinal center line of the frame so that the foremost right hand plow in the working position is the same distance from the longitudinal center line of the frame as the left hand plow in the working position.
103 Tool mounting assembly for soil tilling implement US968354 1978-12-11 US4240509A 1980-12-23 Elmer K. Hansen
An assembly for mounting the shank of a ground tool to a clamping plate carried on the tool bar of a soil tilling farm implement. The mounting assembly has a mounting member attachable to the clamping plate, a link member pivotally connecting the mounting member and the tool shank, a yieldable pressure unit for applying pressure on the link member to oppose initial movement of the tool out of an operating position and releasable coacting latch members for normally maintaining the tool in a ground engaging operating position.
104 Spring reset mechanism US778975 1977-03-18 US4116280A 1978-09-26 Gary Allen Rehn; Robert Otto Taube
A safety trip mechanism for a ground working tool utilizes a roller pin engageable with a notched and spring biased latch to resist collapse of a toggle linkage and rotation of the tool supporting standard as obstacles are encountered by the tool. The roller pin is rigidly connected to one toggle link and spaced from the frame which supports the standard to reduce the breakout force acting on the pin. Flattening of the roller pin surface and wear between the pin and its latch are accordingly reduced to improve reliability of the trip mechanism and decrease maintenance.
105 Trip mechanism for ground working implement US535227 1974-12-23 US3972374A 1976-08-03 Phillip G. Venable; Harold A. Ralston
A spring bias safety trip mechanism for holding a ground working tool in a fixed position with respect to a support frame is disclosed herein. The spring bias safety trip mechanism consists of a plurality of links that are interconnected in such a manner that the links act as a rigid bar between the frame and standard and collapse when excessive forces are encountered by the standard. The spring biased linkage system is designed to eliminate the need for large springs that must produce sufficient forces equal to the normal forces encountered during the normal earthworking operation.
