Die Besonderheit des Strahl-Bidets ist, dass der Benutzer die hygienische Reinigungsprozedur durchführen kann, ohne sich völlig ausziehen zu müssen, ähnlich wie es bei der Benutzung einer Toilette der Fall ist, und ohne dass die Hände an dieser hygienischen Prozedur beteiligt sind.

Das Bidet ist mit einem Klappsitz ausgestattet. Der Bidet-Körper ist zweiteilig. Ein Teil ist ein Bidet-Becken mit Zier-Stützelementen, dessen Konturen und Abmessungen denen einer Standard-Toilette identisch sind. Dabei ist das Becken etwas verlängert, damit die Hand vorne zwischen die Beine des Benutzers und hinten hinter seinen Rücken hineinpassen kann. Das Becken ist mit einer Düse ausgestattet, die einen aufsteigenden Wasserstrahl erzeugt, der durch den Benutzer selbst schnell temperatur- und druckverstellbar ist. Die Düse hat ein bestimmtes Format über den Querschnitt des gesamten Strahls und der ihn ausbildenden Kleinstrahlen. Die Düse wird auf einen Körperteil des Benutzers so eingestellt, dass die Reinigungsprozedur behaglich und effizient ist und keine Handbeteiligung voraussetzt. Das Becken ist mit einem Kanalisationsauslass versehen, der mit einer Überlaufschutzeinrichtung des Beckens verbunden ist, um den Wasserüberlauf beim Auffüllen des Beckens zu vermeiden. Die Überlaufschutzeinrichtung ist an der Vorderwand außerhalb des Beckens angeordnet. Der zweite Teil des Bidets ist eine Bedieneinheit, die sich an das Becken vorne untrennbar anschließt und zwischen den Knien des auf dem Becken sitzenden Benutzers bequem angeordnet ist. Die Bedieneinheit ist mit einer hebelgesteuerten Batterie ausgestattet, die mit einer Absperrvorrichtung verblockt ist. Die Absperrvorrichtung ist durch einen Druckplunger gesteuert. Der Druckplunger ist unter den Rand des hinuntergeklappten Klappsitzes geführt. Der Druckplunger stellt die Düse ab, wenn der Benutzer sich plötzlich vom Klappsitz erhebt. Am Rand des Klappsitzes in Verlaufsrichtung des Hebels sind mnemonische Farbmarkierungen mit angezeigten Endstellungen des Hebels für Heiß- und Kaltwasser, einer Stellung für Warmwasser zum behaglichen Beginn der Prozedur sowie mit einer Neutralstellung des Hebels angebracht.
