Disclosed is a veterinarian treatment table having a base upon which an elongated tub rests. The tub has an inclined bottom wall to drain fluids towards a drain at the bottom of the tub. Also provided is a fluid dispersing means which, in one embodiment, is a spray bar having a plurality of openings to allow fluid such as water to flow onto the tub bottom. A fluid sheeting element is also provided to form a uniform sheet of fluid from the fluid. The tub is fitted with a grate that will support an animal and allow fluids to flow freely from the animal to the tub interior space and bottom wall. The uniform sheet of fluid from the fluid dispersing means continuously washes fluids from the animal away and into a drain. The water flow can be adjusted by a valve controlled by the veterinarian practitioner. |

Even when a headrest is moved, the hair of the patient is supported and the hair is surely prevented from hanging down. In a treating seat which can be lifted and lowered by a lifting device, stretched portions which are raised obliquely upwardly from shoulder supporting portions which support the shoulders of the patient are integrally formed. A recess into which a headrest for supporting the head of the patient is fitted is formed between the stretched portions. The side portions of the headrest are pivotally supported on opposing portions by pins, and supported by an engaging device in such a manner that the headrest can be angularly displaced. The stretched portions support the hair and prevent the hair from hanging down. |

A patient supporting table comprises a table top detachably mounted on one side in a cantilevered fashion to an upper part of an height-adjustable pedestal. The upper part is connected to the upper member of a telescoping column by a pivotal connection which allows pivoting around a horizontal shaft which lies close to one edge of the column and preferably at the foot end of the table. This pivotal movement allows easy access to the interior of the pedestal for servicing purposes. |

A delivery bed has a seat part supported on raisable and lowerable side-pieces. A leg-support has side tubes which are journalled for axial movement on forwardly and rearwardly located pairs of support rollers journalled on bolts attached to the side-pieces. Mounted on the side-pieces are guide bars which present along the bottom edge surfaces thereof a plurality of circle-segmental latching recesses intended to co-act with circular latching flanges on the rearwardly located support rollers in selected latching positions. The position of the leg-support is adjusted by lifting the support and axially moving the same to a desired latching position. |

A patient treatment table includes a table frame, a hip board fixedly secured to said frame and a head board fixedly secured to said frame and spaced from said hip board. A transparent flexible arch member, of such thickness that it can maintain an adjustable height position under the patient's weight without requiring edge reinforcement, is pivotally mounted to said frame adjacent to and below the top surface of said head board and a slide member extending across the table beneath the edge of said hip board provides a pivotal support for the other end of said arch member. Said slide member may be adjusted relative to said hip board by means of an enclosed, motor driven lead screw actuator to bow said arch member upwardly from a minimum height position in which the top surface of the arch member is substantially the same as the upper surfaces of said head and hip boards. Suitable indicia are provided on the slide and table frame, calibrated in terms of the actual height of the top surface of the transparent arch, so that continuity of treatment and repeatablity of adjustment of the height of the arch can be achieved. The actuator is controllable by switch means located adjacent said arch member on either side of the table. |

An operating table for ophthalmic surgery consisting of a base, held at an adequate height from the floor by supporting members, and on which a stretcher is placed which is movable in the longitudinal sense and adjustable in height, one end of which is connected to an adjustable assembly comprising a first device for positioning the patient's head, with the body being on said stretcher, in the position most convenient for carrying out the surgical operation and a second device supporting a mask element provided with an opening in which the eye to be operated on is adapted and on the edge of which the orbital edge of said eye is sealed. A transparent rigid airtight cover is provided which may be adapted on said base plane in such a way as to create an airtight environment apt to be appropriately depressurized through conventional vacuum means, said airtight environment completely surrounding the body of the patient with the exception of the eye to be operated on, which through said opening in said mask element appears exposed to the pressure of the outside ambient. |

A postural drainage device for supporting a patient comfortably in a position in which mucus and other matter can drain by gravity from his respiratory system. The invention includes a first embodiment which is portable and collapsible and assumes a substantially A-shape when in use. The two side members of the A-shape are pivotally mounted to each other adjacent the apex of the A-shape and provided with an adjustable knee support mounted on one of the side members, a pair of spaced-apart hand grips positioned adjacent the apex of the A-shape, and a pair of adjustable shoulder supports mounted in a spaced-apart relationship on the other side member with a hole cut through that side member into the interior of the A-shape providing access to a tray placed on the transverse member of the A-shape. The hand grips extend slightly above the apex of the A-shape to help maintain the patient therebetween on the apex. The patient's knees are supported on the knee support, his mid-section on the apex of the A-shape between the hand grips, and his shoulders on the spaced-apart shoulder supports with his head extending downwardly therebetween through the hole. In a second embodiment, leaf members corresponding to the two side members of the A-shaped embodiment are pivotally mounted to a main body and individually moved by respective piston-cylinder arrangements. |

An operating table provided with a vessel for receiving irrigating solution during transurethral resection. The chamber or vessel may be automatically moved lengthwise between a retracted or inoperative position under the operating table and an extended or receiving position where the chamber or vessel is extended forwardly of the operating table for receiving irrigating solution. That is, when an operator assumes an operating position the chamber or vessel may be automatically moved to the retracted position for permitting his operating freely, but when he assumes an irrigating discharging position the chamber or vessel can be automatically advanced in the extended position for receiving a discharged irrigating solution. |
