Wenn dieser elektrisch leitende Bereich 1c über einem Kondensator 3 der Sensorscheibe 2 steht, so wird dessen Kapazität deutlich erhöht. Aus der Amplitude der über die Kondensatoren 3 übertragenen Impulse kann daher der Zählerstand der Ziffernrolle 1 berührungs- und kräftefrei ermittelt werden.
