An image forming apparatus having a transliteration printing function and a control method thereof are provided to directly transmit the print target document stored in an external type storage device and perform a transliteration printing work. An interface member(220) receives the printing document written by the first language. A transliteration member(270) transliterates the printing document into the character of the second language. A printing member(240) prints the transliterated printing document. A syllable mapping table(271) performs a character mapping function and stores the mapped characters. A transliteration change member(272) analyzes the printing document by the syllable unit and transliterates the printing document into the character of the second language with reference to the syllable mapping table. |

An apparatus and a method for processing an image of in image forming device are provided to prevent the waste of toner or ink to print an undesired text part. When there is no remove request related to a text included in an image to be printed, a control member(100) controls an image converting member(120) so that the image including the text is converted as the printable data. The control member performs the detection of an edge. If a start portion of a text region is detected, the detection process of the text region is stopped, the image region having the edge is provided to the image converting member. A text removing member(110) removes the text included in the image by means of the size of the text to be removed. |

According to an embodiment, an image processing system includes an image forming unit, a decoloring unit, a storage device, an operation panel and a processor. The storage device stores image data of a plurality of printed materials. The processor forms on a sheet an image based on image data in a page range of the printed material received by the operation panel. The processor determines whether or not images of all pages in the page range have been decolored in a predetermined range after the image formation is executed when the formed image is decolored by the decoloring unit. |

Use of separate range tone mapping for combined images can help minimize loss of image information in scenes that have drastically different luminance values, i.e., scenes that have both bright and shadowed regions. Separate range tone mapping is particularly useful for combined images, such as those from spherical camera systems, which may have a higher probability of including luminance variability. The resulting increased bit depth of separate range tone mapping can make the transition between different images that make up a combined image more subtle. Each of a plurality of images that make up a combined image can use a different tone map that is optimized for the particular image data of the image. Multiple tone maps that are applied to overlapping regions of the plurality of images can subsequently be combined to expand the bit depth of the overlapping regions. |

When trial printing is executed in a repeat printing mode, trial printing is performed in size of an image of one piece in a layout in which a plurality of images are supposed to be printed in the repeat printing mode normally. A user who has checked a finished state of the trial printing sets, when the finished state is in a desired state, the recording paper on which the trial printing is performed to the paper feed portion again and executes the repeat printing. Thereby, in a blank space excluding a print image which is printed with a first time trial printing, a scheduled quantity of a plurality of images are repeatedly printed. |

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming device which forms an image on a recording medium and an image scanning device which transmits scanned image data to the image forming device. The image forming device includes a receiver, a first image forming unit, a second image forming unit, and a controller. The receiver receives at least one of external image data transmitted from an external device and the scanned image data as input image data. The first image forming unit forms a developer image based on the input image data on the recording medium. The second image forming unit forms a mark image on the recording medium. The controller determines whether to make the second image forming unit form the mark image or not depending on a type of a transmission source of the input image data. |

An image forming apparatus composes an input image and a form image and generates a composite image, determines whether the image composition processing is designated, and determines whether the maximum amount of applied toner of the form image is not less than a predetermined threshold. Then, the apparatus sets an amount of applied toner of the form image as the amount of applied toner of the composite image if the image composition processing is designated and the maximum amount of applied toner of the form image is not less than the predetermined threshold, and controls, based on a fixing temperature that is determined based on the amount of applied toner, the fixing temperature when performing fixing processing for a printing medium with a toner image that is formed based on the composite image. |

An image forming device forms a toner image on a recording medium. The recording medium goes through a fixing nip N between a fixing member and a pressure member in a fixing unit where the toner image is fixed on the recording medium. A fixing temperature detector detects the temperature of the fixing member. A fixing temperature control unit controls a heater that heats the fixing member so that the detected temperature becomes a target temperature. A size control unit of white space sets a white space at a tip of the recording medium in a direction of the recording medium movement. When a paper counter counts more than a predetermined paper count, the size control unit increases the size of the white space. The fixing temperature control unit decreases the target fixing temperature when the white space goes through the fixing nip. |
