Rimless slip-on spectacle lenses are held by several clips to the spectacle lenses. An upper clip is directly secured to the top edge of each slip-on lens and holds at the same time an elastic bridge which extends to the other slip-on lens, so that the lateral cohesion of both slip-on lenses is determined by the upper clips and the bridge. A lower clip is directly secured to the lower edge of each slip-on lens and prevents the slip-on lens from spreading away from the spectacle lens. The upper and lower clip of each slip-on lens are outwardly offset with respect to the centerline of the slip-on lenses. The bridge is made of an elastic wire which ends at both ends within holders arranged at the top edge of the corresponding clip.
